Technical Art

My work as a Technical Artist.

VR Training: Bristol Myers Squibb Cell Therapy

Project Reel I created for the Gronstedt Group highlighting the suite of VR training tools for technicians working in clean room laboratories.

The unique challenge of this project was developing a virtual character that could apply multiple layers of safety equipment, taking layers on and off as needed. I used Hurricane VR for the avatar and interactions. I also modeled, rigged, and animated all of the safety garments applied to the user avatar.

Developing Digital Twins for Medical Devices

I worked with renowned brain surgeon Dr. Aaron Cohen and the Neurosurgical Atlas team in developing a groundbreaking tool for neurosurgical techniques. Using the Hybrid IK toolset in Unity, I created a dynamic rig that coordinated the doctor, patient, and microscope positions where their movements could be adjusted and synced in real time.

Winter Bear Studio Reel 2019

Studio Reel I created for Winter Bear Studio highlighting our projects from 2019.

I worked on projects for various devices at this time, from mobile gaming to VR.

Going Nuts 2 Mobile

Going Nuts 2 received the Amazon Developer spotlight award in 2018. I built the animation pipeline and also modeled and rigged all of the gadgets and contraptions that our squirrel uses. I’m particularly proud of the alchemist’s sprayer that converts the acorns into gold!

Spark City, A Walmart Business Sim

Spark City, A Walmart Business Sim

Spark City is a mobile Sims-style game where users learn about the various roles of a Walmart manager.

I developed the character pipeline and animation systems for the game, as well as much of environment modeling and texturing.

Space Advisors, a KPMG Sales Game

Space Advisors, a KPMG Sales Game

A conference call simulator sounds like a snoozer of a game, but when you place it in a futuristic world with robot clients, it’s more than business as usual!

KPMG needed to mitigate costs for bringing in consultants to conference calls and this game provided a way to help their staff choose the very best people to be on call without breaking the budget. I helped develop the UI and created a lot of the UX animations.
